Through the process of education we seek to introduce new thinking and sometimes foreign concepts to our clients and their teams.  We explain and contextualise these ideas, helping people become familiar and comfortable with new ways of approaching the work they do. Many knowledge workers have a sound education and training background typically rooted in classic business and commercial curricula, however much of todays actual business practice and thinking has moved some distance from the typical post school tertiary training most people receive.  TiOLi's goal with our education services, is to bridge the gap between sound classical training and the nuances of the more dynamic and agile functioning of industry 4.0

Beyond the introduction of theory and best practice, the simple presentation of new and varied ways of thinking and working, we aim to equip people with the practical skill and abilities needed to leverage the new insights, tools and knowledge they have acquired.   The goal of empowerment is to move form the educational notion of 'tell me and I may forget', to the philosophy of 'involve me   and I will learn'.  This is the reason that TiOLi has always married consulting with training and education services either explicitly or implicitly.  Solving a problem for someone versus equipping and empowering them to solve issues for themselves is key to sustainable business operations in start-ups, teams divisions and corporations alike. Similarly with leadership, the purpose is not to be a great leader but rather to inspire and create more great leaders.

The last principle on which TiOLi builds its service offering is execution, the putting into practice of lessons learned, skills acquired and insights gained.  Knowledge and ability without action achieve nothing. achieving the initial impetus and inertia to get started and gain traction can be challenging, TiOLi offers advisory and consulting services to help and support individuals and teams apply and implement systems, programmes, campaigns and projects to ensure that the fertile ground for growth and development is adequately cultivated.  Here the goal is to aid in the development and roll out of strategic plans, blueprints and roadmaps to aid people in navigating the uncharted void of future business operations that lay ahead of them.

TiOLi launched in 2011 as a strategic business management  consultancy focused on ensuring organisations both large and small remain relevant and aligned to their customer needs in a rapidly changing world in which technological acceleration, socioeconomic upheaval and globalisation are the norm.

The operating models and best practices of yesterday no longer guarantee success tomorrow. The investment of time, money and resources required to keep individuals, teams and organisations abreast of the latest business thinking and skills necessary to implement these frameworks is increasingly challenging.  Classic education and training institutions no longer keep pace with the accelerating change, making it increasingly difficult to recruit new well equipped day one proficient team members or even to develop existing staff using the tired protracted training methods of the past. Moreover, the perpetually increasing cost of outsourcing or hiring external consultants to solve problems on lengthy pay per hour contracts is rapidly becoming unsustainable.

Wanting to stay true to the original vision of ensuring organisations remain relevant and au fait with current thinking and business  practice, as well as affording organisations an opportunity to infer what business might look like in the years to come, TiOLi has reimagined its consulting, client empowerment and training model. Adapting it to be leaner more agile, responsive, accessible and affordable in keeping with the changing needs and budgets of clients.
